New Book: Christian Perspectives on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Monday, 17 March 2008
From 13 till 17 November 2006, a conference took place at the International Baptist Theological Seminary in Prague on “Christian Perspectives on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict”. This book brings together the contributions presented at the conference. Participants and speakers included Western Christians, Messianic Jews and Palestinian Christians – an unusual crowd guaranteeing an unusually broad and balanced perspective. Since one of the articles is mine, and based on my thesis, I mention it here. More information can be found at the website of Neufeld Verlag.
The NT does not say much about the land or the kingdom of Israel. All the more attention is paid to those few verses that do. Among these is Acts 1:6-7. The passage is understood in different ways, but one thing is clear: most end-time books stand in flagrant contradiction of this direct statement of Christ.
